For Feathers on Friday – I found a Flicker picture from a couple of days ago, he was singing on a cloudy grey day, Flicker Feathers on Friday 😉
Other Feathers on Friday blogs:
This has been a great month for birding in my yard! This week I saw this beauty of a Blue Jay in one of my trees – the color just grabs me, I love blue!
Here is a lifer for me, a white crowned sparrow (male) was poking around in the shrubs with the house sparrows looking for seeds. The white caught my eye – and I’m glad it did! Another one for the yard list!
I never tire of the beautiful house finches, and I’m especially attracted to the orange ones, and I love the rain!
A couple of days after spotting the male White Crowned Sparrow in my shrubs – I saw this pretty gal in my grass – new bird for me = happy day!
Until Next Time!
I see Crows quite often in my neighborhood but seeing a Raven is much more rare. Today I heard one calling loudly and there’s no mistaking that gutteral sound… a Raven!
I found him on a neighboring rooftop and snapped a photo. One more for my Yard List this year
